Shawn Crawford Gold Medal, 200M

Since winning the 2001 U.S. and World Indoor titles, Shawn Crawford has become one of the most prolific sprinters in the world.

Crawford dominated the 200 meter finals of the 2004 Olympics in Athens, winning the gold medal with a personal best of 19.79 seconds and leading an American sweep with teammates Bernard Williams and Justin Gatlin finishing second and third respectively. It was Team USA’s first sweep in the men’s 200 meters since1984.

Crawford also won the 2004 USA Indoor 60-meter title and World Indoor silver.
